Hi, My name is Peter and I am a RSA Approved Driving Instructor who is dedicated to providing you with the highest quality of driver education. What are EDT Driving Lessons?

EDT lessons (essential driver training) are 12 one hour driving lessons that are designed to teach a learner driver the core skills required to drive safely on the road.

Why do I need EDT Driving Lessons?

The RSA (Road Safety Authority) has deemed it mandatory to complete the 12 EDT Driving lesson programme before you can be issued with an RSA driving test date.

Who is required to complete the EDT Programme?

Any driver who has been issued an Irish learner permit on or after 04/04/2011 is required to complete the 12 hour EDT driving lesson programme. As you complete each module your approved driving instructor (ADI) must record your progress in your RSA EDT logbook.
